ÉSIO MOREIRA JIU-JITSU

We are a Faith Community that understands the need to be integrated into society, acting as an arm that assists in its transformation. Our logo is linked to our vision and mission: "We want to be like Jesus, welcoming and loving people, to transform lives and relationships."

We understand Jiu-Jitsu as an essential tool for transforming lives through the preaching of the Gospel. Its practice, combined with spiritual care, aims not only to present the sport as an end in itself, but also, through it, to impart essential principles and values, thus shaping, through the power of the Gospel, the character of each athlete and their families, fulfilling the mission we have set for ourselves.

Beyond the physical aspects, the instilling of discipline and personal hygiene, we work diligently on character development. We transmit essential values to our students that are not limited to the sport itself, but extend beyond the dojo. We focus on personal life and the restoration of human dignity, considering the reach we have in extremely humble communities around us.

The Ésio Moreira Team

The Ministry of Sports, as we classify it, began with the practice of Judo, through Sensei Cláudio Pavani, in 2015, and later, due to personal needs, ended the activities. In December 2018, we resumed the practice of sports activities, now through Jiu-Jitsu under the Coordination of Master Ésio Moreira, 7th degree red and black belt, graduated by the Fluminense Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

The activities currently take place on Mondays, in three time slots (Baby, Kids 1 and Kids 2), with Sensei black belt Elizeu Pereira (Prof of All Black Jiu Jitsu Team) and Thursdays (adult class), taught by Sensei Rômulo dos Santos Gonçalves, 3rd degree black belt, Professor and owner of Studio Martial Arts BJJ, who recently won titles in the CBJJE World and Paulista Championships and a triple gold in the London International Open, including a victory in the Absolute No Gi.
